Our Autumn Yoga Day Retreat

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the lovely yogis who joined me on my Yoga Day at the weekend. This was the first “in person” meet up with my students since March 2020 and my first yoga day in almost two years!

It was so great to see so many happy smiling faces and after all we’ve been through this past year or so it felt good and almost a privilege to be back in a room practising yoga together again and to enjoy these little freedoms that I don’t think any of us will take for granted ever again.

The day evolved in the same way as previous yoga days, starting with an energising Hatha Yoga session of just under two hours which surprisingly flew by, then we had lunch and after lunch we enjoyed a relaxing Yin Yoga session of about ninety minutes. I had a lot of comments regarding the Yin with people being surprised at how challenging it was despite being a seemingly simple practice.

After our Yin session we had a short tea break before coming together again for our Sound/Gong bath. I used various instruments including my Ocean Drum, Koshi Chimes, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Quartz Crystal Bowl and of course my Paiste Moon Gong and Chinese Feng Gong. All sounds brought together for the purpose of relaxation and healing and everyone looked super chilled at the end of the day.

It was wonderful to see everyone and be a part of such a beautiful vibe and energy. Thank you to all who came and made the day so special. Namaste.
