Imbolc falls on 1st and 2nd February and marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It is a celebration of the returning of the sun, the lengthening days and the transition from winter towards spring. A time when our acceptance of Winter is giving way to an urge to move forward and become active once again. This is a practice to connect you to your fire centre and includes a focus on the breathing practice Kapalabhati and a variety of yoga postures designed to stretch, twist, strengthen and compress the area around your abdominals where the solar plexus chakra resides.
