My next event, and the last one this side of the summer holidays, will be a Summer Yin Yoga and Sound Bath which will run on Friday 11th July from 7pm to 8.30pm at Dartford Girls Grammar School. It will be held in the Dance Studio, which is the room above our usual Monday evening yoga venue (there is a link to venue information on my Yoga Classes dropdown menu).
The evening will begin with a Yin Yoga class designed to align your energy with the vibrant season of summer. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is governed by the Fire element, which corresponds to the Heart and Small Intestine meridians—pathways that influence joy, connection, clarity, and emotional balance. Through longer held yin poses, we’ll gently stimulate these meridians to cultivate inner calm and release tension in the body. This quiet practice invites cooling, introspection, and rest during a season that can often feel fast and fiery. No experience of Yin Yoga is needed for this session. The postures will all be seated or laying down and it is a much gentler paced practice than my weekly classes with the focus purely on deep stretching which then equates to deeper release and a more restful practice overall.
Following the yoga, you will then be immersed in a healing sound bath featuring my planetary gong, singing bowls, drums and chimes - all soothing frequencies that resonate with the heart space - helping you integrate the benefits of your practice on a cellular level.
Every one is welcome. Just come as you are and leave feeling restored, rebalanced, and reconnected. Please bring your own yoga mat, any props you may have and anything you need to be comfortable for the sound bath (a blanket, cushion, eye mask, etc.).
Cost for the event is £15 and you can book your space here online.
