Yoga Teaching Update: Please Read

It is with regret that I have to let you all know that after much reflection I have decided not to resume my weekly yoga classes at Europa. This has not been a decision made lightly but rather with much thought and consideration. As I’m sure it has been for many of you, these past five months have been a struggle financially for me to the extent that my earning potential has to be a priority moving forward. Unfortunately the limitations and regulations to which Europa is subject under British Gymnastics policy would place limitations on my maximum class numbers such that in addition to venue cost would not make it financially viable for me to continue teaching as I have been.

I have been so lucky over these past 6 1/2 years of building my yoga business to have enjoyed such busy classes and loyal students that I was able to have yoga teaching as my main source of income but with these new limitations it is just not possible particularly as I had already reduced the number of classes I would have been teaching.

So for now I will no longer be teaching yoga on a weekly basis. I would like to continue to host yoga days should the venue I have been using re-open at some point and then all I can do is just see how everything unfolds.

I am aware, as I mentioned in a previous post, that many of you have class pass credits with me. You are most welcome either to use the value of these to purchase online classes/videos if you wish or of course I am happy to refund any outstanding balances should you prefer. I have a record of all the passes so please do contact me with your bank details at emma@samadhi-yoga.co.uk and I can let you know the amount outstanding and proceed with a refund.

With regard to online content I do intend to continue adding new content as and when I am able so there will be more classes to choose from moving forward. I will obviously have to focus my energies on creating new work opportunities for myself but I won’t forget my yoga teaching not after having invested so much of my time, energy and heart into it over the years.

It has really been my pleasure to have met and taught so many wonderful people over the years and I will miss the camaraderie of our mornings at Europa which is where my yoga teaching journey began at the start of 2014. I hope you all continue with your yoga practice and do feel free to contact me should you have any questions or queries.

Wishing you all the very best moving forward and hopefully see you at a yoga day in the future.

Namaste.

    1. Oh Carol, I’m so sorry. You’ve been such a loyal student for so long. I am going to continue with my videos and will get a yoga day sorted as soon as the venue is up and running again. The maximum room capacity was reduced to just six people when I regularly had 20+ so quite a difference. Maybe the situation will ease with time xx

  1. I am so sorry to hear that you have to stop teaching at Europa. I loved my yoga lessons with you and you have instilled a love for yoga in me that’s still going strong. Good luck with everything! Hope the rest of the family are all well! Ela xx

    1. Thanks Ela. I’m so pleased you’re still practising yoga and I hope your back is okay! We are all well, just about to start the return to school so a little normality on the verge of returning. It is a shame that things have turned out this way, I didn’t foresee it really but am so grateful for all the lovely messages I have received – and especially “blasts from the past” like yourself! Sending much love to you and your family too xx

  2. I will really miss your classes and chats, Em. Thank you for your teachings. They will stay with me, and opened up other paths which I may not have ventured down without your input./ insight. So, enjoy your next journey and hopefully the proposed yoga days will come to fruition, as I miss our little yogi community. Love to you and your family. I think the time is right for you to take up another venture🙏Namaste xx John

    1. Thanks so much John. I have been very lucky to have met so many wonderful people along this journey, yourself included! And it has certainly been one of exploration, sometimes I can’t quite believe how much study I completed in such a short space of time. It’s not over though, as you say, just changing form. I will certainly continue with my yoga, it is not just something I “do”, it is very much a part of who I am, it will just be evolving. Thank YOU for your friendship, our chats, hugs and for all your manpower on my yoga days. Sending much love xxx
