What’s On: Autumn Term

So as the summer holidays begin to draw to a close, thoughts turn to my next term of teaching. First of all, thank you to all my wonderful students who joined me in August – I know the holidays are a very busy time for everyone so I truly appreciate that you still made time to come to my classes and make space for yoga in your lives. I think we had the right balance of classes as all were well attended. Thank you!

Our new term begins on Wednesday 5th September and will run through until Friday 14th December 2018. I will, as always, take a break for the school October half-term holidays and these dates and other planned schedule changes are already on my Autumn Term – Dates & Holidays page. Should there be any other changes due to unforeseen circumstances these will always be updated on the aforementioned Dates & Holidays page, on my Classes page and also on my Facebook page. These are the easiest ways of reaching people I find.

As my Friday morning Mindful Yin Yoga class is one of my smaller classes I have decided that I will be running it for the next 6 Fridays only (starting up again on Friday 7th September) to gauge the level of interest. If there is sufficient interest and attendance over the next 6 weeks then I will continue with the class after half-term and up to end of term, if not it will be removed from my schedule. This is so that I can focus my energies on the classes that receive the greatest interest and for which there is therefore the greatest need.

As many of you will know I have decided not to continue with my Children’s Yoga classes for the time being. I had a lot of fun teaching lots of different children from January through until July this year. From my toddlers group and all the way up to 11 years old. However, I have decided to focus solely on my adult offering moving forward particularly in the light of declining numbers of children attending. It really was a great learning experience though and I do hope it has created a spark of interest in yoga for those children who attended.

I have a few Events coming up over the next few months:

Autumn Rejuvenation Yoga Day Retreat: My next yoga day retreat is on Sunday 7th October 2018 – this day retreat is currently fully booked with waiting list only.

Family Yoga Workshop – November 2018: I am running a Family Yoga Workshop on Sunday 4th November 2018. This workshop is 2 1/2 hours long and is always a lot of fun. Suitable for children aged 3+years. Please click the link above for more information. Bookings currently being taken and at time of writing we are currently about 2/3 full.

Nourishing Winter Warmer Yoga Day Retreat: My first yoga day retreat of 2019 will be on Sunday 20th January. Together we will enjoy two yoga practices that will be relevant to the season of Winter and the transition to the New Year: an energising morning yang practice and a soothing yin practice in the afternoon, in addition to which we will be exploring some breathing practices, meditation, mantra chanting and a therapeutic sound bath. Early bird price of £45 applies up until the end of this term (14th December).

So, plenty going on this term. Please do make sure you check my Class schedule before coming along, particularly if you are new to my classes or haven’t been for a few weeks. I keep my website and Facebook page up-to-date to ensure my yoga offering is as transparent as possible. If you are new to my classes I now have a Newcomers page where you should be able to find the answers to most of your questions.

I look forward to welcoming both new and returning students to my classes in September. ૐ
