It is with deep regret and sadness that in the light of the new guidelines issued by the government today I have decided NOT to run my Friday evening yoga class at Becket Sports Centre for the time being and until the Coronavirus situation eases. It is clear that in my role as a service provider I have a duty of care to my students and given that I run my classes on a drop-in basis it would be impossible to adhere to “social distancing” guidelines as I never know how many people will be joining me, as my regulars will know.
The studio at Beckets is not huge and given that we had a very snug 20 people in the room a couple of weeks back it clearly makes it very difficult to allow a suitable amount of distance between mats and thus people. I have reflected on this since hearing about the closure at Europa and I feel that it is the responsible decision to make.
I will continue to keep you informed both here on my website and via my various social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) regarding any updates or further information.
As I mentioned in my previous post about classes at Europa, for those of you with class passes obviously the validity periods will be honoured so please don’t worry about expiry dates, we can have a look at that when classes resume. I do have three yoga class sequences of about 40 minutes each currently up on my YouTube channel and am in the process of preparing some more. I also intend, once I have had a chance to film some, to add some online classes here to my website but this is in the making and I will add more details as soon as they are available.
Thank you for bearing with me at this most unprecedented of times.
